JVC introduces 1080i HD recording for consumers in the HD Everio GZ-HD7
Consumers looking for the latest in camcorder technology will love the new Everio announcement from JVC. They’ve introduced what they call the world’s first full HD 1920 x 1080i consumer camcorder in the form of the JVC HD Everio GZ-HD7. Since it’s part of the Everio line of camcorders, this 1080i camcorder supports an integrated hard drive for storage.. NICE
The JVC HD Everio GZ-HD7 features:
- 60 GB hard drive which is capable of storing five hours of HD 1920 x 1080i recordings at 30Mbps bit rate
- Features three 1/5 inch CCDs (one fore red, green, and blue)
- Fujinon lens
- Optical image stabilization
- Full array of manual controls
- Multiple digital connections
- Bundled editing and archiving software
- Supports optional HD Everio SHARE STATION for easy transfer of footage to disc
- 10x optical zoom lens
- Supports USB. HDMI, and i.LINK
The new HD Everio GZ-HD7 supports three record modes:
- Full HD (FHD) mode with a resolution of 1920 x 1080i at a max of 30Mbps which results in five hours of recording
- Long Time (SP) mode with a resolution of 1440 x 1080i with a max of 22 Mbps for 7 hours of recording
- Constant Bit Rate Mode (1440CBR) at 1440 x 1080i at a constant bit rate of 27 Mbps for five hours of recording
The HD Everio GZ-HD7 will be available beginning in April for a price of $1799.95. The HD Everio SHARE STATION CU-VD40 will also be available in April for a price of $399.95.
