HP’s latest computer system was formally announced at CES this week – it’s called the TouchSmart IQ770PC and it’s designed to be the centerpiece of any home. The system comes with a touch enabled display which is integrated into the computer base providing an all in one solution for the family home. There’s also a wireless keyboard and mouse as well as tight integration with HP Photosmart printer.
However, the key to the TouchSmart PC is the unique set of applications designed to make family life easier to maintain and manage. HP packages the customizable SmartCenter home page to the TouchSmart PC which brings together quick links and favorite applications to a centralized interface. There’s the HP SmartCalendar which allows everyone in the home to quickly and easily manage and maintain their schedules, events, and personal messages.
The TouchSmart IQ770PC is also an entertainment PC thanks to the bundled TV tuner and DVR application. Finally, the HP TouchSmart IQ770 PC features:
