Sonneteer has announced the products that they will be showing at this year’s CES 2007. The new products include a USB enabled Sedley, the Bardaudio wireless range and several new prototype audio products.

The Sonneteer Sedley USB allows users to back up all of their vinyl records directly onto their PCs using a high quality phono stage. The Sedley’s been around for some time but it now comes with a USB connection which allows users to also play back their digital media through the Sedley and into their hi-fi system.

Meanwhile, Sonneteer has continued to expand their Bardaudio wireless range of products. The Bardaudio range originally began with the BardOne which was a combination transmitter and receiver. Connect the transmitter to any audio source and have uncompressed digital audio transmitted wirelessly to the receiver. You can plug into the BardOne transmitter to an iPod, an MP3 player, a CD player, or really anything.

Sonneteer plans on introducing new products to join the Bardaudio line including a USB transmitter to directly transmit data from a computer’s USB port with the help of a media player application line Windows Media or iTunes. Other new products coming out include the BardThree Plug Top Amplifier, and the Rug Rat amplifier which are both digital amplifiers with a Bard receiver built right in. This will allow you to connect speakers directly to the amp.

Finally, Sonneteer plans on introducing several new prototype concepts at CES including sneak previews of the ‘Blu’, and ‘Othello’ projects.

Sonneteer CES 2007 PRESS RELEASE.
Sonneteer will be showing there wares at CES 2007 this year in Room 3701 Toscana Suite at the Venetian Hotel Las Vegas.
Teamed up with their distributor for North America, May Audio Marketing Inc. Sonneteer will be exhibiting their wired and wireless products including; the all new Sedley USB phono stage with USB connection, the Bardaudio wireless range and amongst others the Brand New SACD and universal audio disk concept prototype.
The Sedley USB as the name implies is the world famous and much awarded Sedley phono stage now available with a USB connector option. This allows the user to use the Sedley to back up all their cherished vinyl onto their computer using a high end quality phono stage. This connection also allows the user to play back all their backed up material and any other digital media for that matter, including internet radio, through the Sedley and hence through their hi-fi system.
The Bardaudio range from Sonneteer all started off with the BardOne set launched at a previous CES which was the first consumer, high-end audio product to allow the transmission of UNCOMPRESSED digital audio date throughout the house. The range has grown to include a USB transmitter for transmitting directly from a computer’s USB port with a little help from play back software like iTunes and Windows Media(any other will also do!). Also part of the family now are the BardThree `plug top’ amplifier and the `rug rat’ amplifier. Both of these are digtal amplifiers with a Bard receiver built in so they can be connected directly to high end loudspeakers and receive uncompressed high quality digital audio from a Bardaudio transmitter.
The range is growing and evolving all the time and Sonneteer will have one or two little prototype concepts on show at CES including a sneak preview of the `blu’ and the `Othello’ projects all not due for full production till 2008(yes the technology is that fresh!).
The SACD player is another concept on show. The full blown product is due to be launched as a production model in 2007 and its current outing is `conceptual’ in the sense that specificationwise and sound qualitywise it is not complete. We at Sonneteer are constantly developing new ideas, so many that some are bound to sneak in before the last I is dotted on the manual and the last screw is tightened on Serial No. 00001.
This press release is being written a week before the show and the last mad scientist doesn’t fly out till the day before so expect some mad toys from the blue-sky lab in his hand luguage.
We at Sonneteer strive to push the boundaries of audio technology with simplicity of use always at the forefront. Well almost! When a product is being developed we wont let it go into production until we are happy with it sonically. It can do all sorts of fancy things, but if it doesn’t perform well enough to grace our living rooms and please our exceedingly fussy ears then nor do we expect it to grace or please anyone else’s.
End. No embargo. 28.12.2006 FTM Marketing ltd. www. sonneteer.co.uk
