I’ve been waiting for a review of the SilverStone LC05 case for some time now and finally the folks at XYZComputing have published one! The LC05 is a mini-ITX supporting aluminum case featuring:
- One 5.25″ externally accessible drive bay
- One 3.5 inch hidden drive bay
- Top and side venting holes
- Two USB 2.0 ports
- 1 Firewire port
- 1 Earphone jack
- 1 Microphone
This is definitely a case for those looking to build small form factor systems.. but how does it perform? Here’s the verdict from XYZComputing:
So while the LC05 was the right case for this build and my space demands, there are a lot of options out there that may better suit another project. .. If the LC05 is the right case for you and it has the features you are searching for, it would be a great pick so long as you can afford it and don’t mind upgrading the underwhelming power supply unit.
Basically the LC05 is a good case if you can live with the high price and the crappy PSU!
