So you got yourself a nice new digital audio player for Christmas. Do you actually want to listen to your player using the included headphones? Of course not! You want to get yourself a nice new headset!! So where do you start? Well the folks at Digital Trends have published a review of the Sony Altus MDR-D777LP Stereo Headphones here on their website. The headphones go for $149.99 at SonyStyle.com and feature the following:
- Aura-nomic design – drivers inside the ear are angled parallel to your ears reducing pressure, increasing comfort, and delivering a more natural listening experience
- Ambient Sound-In Switch – Easily listen to the outside noise with a built in sound-in switch
- 80 KHz High Definition Driver Units
- Luxury Ear Pads
- Single Sided Cord
- Collapsible Design
Here’s the verdict from Digital Trends:
Though we hesitate to call these “audiophile quality†headphones, if you are considering a higher-end consumer headphone like the Bose Triport, we strongly recommend putting the Sony Altus at the top of your list.
