I saw plenty of these iHome iH5 Clock Radios while shopping for gifts this past month.. but I actually never got a good look at them to be honest with you. Luckily, the Gadgeteer have published a review of the iHome iH5 here on their website.

Here’s a quick summary of the features found on the iH5:

  • Wake to iPod, AM/FM Radio, or buzzer
  • Removable dock inserts fit all docking iPods and charge your iPod while docked
  • Sleep to your iPod or AM/FM radio with programmable sleep
  • Reson8 speakers
  • Patch cord included to play shuffle/CDs
  • Gradual wake and gradual sleep increase/decrease alarm/sleep volume
  • Multifunction LCD display with adjustable backlighting

The one thing I appreciate the most is the large display – especially since my eyesight isn’t the best these days.

So here’s the verdict on the iH5 from the Gadgeteer:

The iHome iH5 clock radio would be perfect if it had a few extra features… All that said, I like the iH5 and am going to leave it on my night stand as my primary clock radio… at least till something better comes along.
