If you’re planning to be at CES in January, make sure to check out Dash Navigation’s demonstration of the Dash Express – the first Internet connected GPS device for the car. The Dash Express made the news back in September at various media outlets and at CES, you’ll finally be able to see it in action.

What’s unique about the Dash Express is its ability to connect to the Internet to obtain traffic information about the destinations you want to go to. What this basically means is – the Dash Express provides two way connectivity. You tell it where you want to go, and the service uses a combination of GPS data, historial traffic data, realtime traffic data and data from other Data Express users to help you find up to three different routes to get to your destination. Thus, because of two way connectivity, you’ll constantly be notified of changes in traffic patterns should things get better or worse.

Other features of the Dash Express include:

  • Find locations and products using the Internet
  • Select a location/product result and press GO to get list of directions
  • Send to your car the addresses you need to go to – no typing within the car. Simply send the address from your computer to the Dash Express in your car

Definitely a cool and innovative way to navigate in your car. Can’t wait to see it at CES!
