Cerventis LLC has announced a new mixing and recording device for the Apple iPod called the MusicJam. With the MusicJam, users can guitar jam and sing alongside music played back on an iPod and simultaneously record the results. The MusicJam can also be used as a karaoke machine with song lyrics displayed on the iPod’s screen.

The device is capable of holding any full sized iPod in the cradle and can be clamped onto a standard microphone stand or placed on a tabletop. Besides recording your voice and guitar jams with the iPod, the MusicJam  is also capable of adding special digital echo effects to the vocals.
