Toshiba introduces two new mobile phones for Hong Kong
This one’s a little old but I thought it might be interesting to some of you out there. Toshiba introduced two new mobile phones for the Hong Kong market last week. They are the WCDMA capable TX80 and the GSM capable TS32 mobile phone. Both phones were showcased at the ITU Telecom World 2006 conference and are available SmarTone-Vodafone.
The TX80 is Toshiba’s third WCDMA mobile phone for SmarTone-Vodafone and is a vey capable music phone. Here are the specs to the TX80:

- 3.2 megapixel digital camera
- Music Console
- Measures 49 x 97 x 20 mm
- Weighs 111 grams
- 900/1800/1900 for GSM, 2100 for 3G
- 470 hour standby time (3G), 290 hours (GSM)
- 190 minute talk time (3G), 320 minutes (GSM)
- 2.4 inch QVGA, 260K color TFT for the main display
- Mono OLED for the secondary display
- 40MB internal memory
- microSD card support
- Supports MP3, AAC, AAC+, XMF, SMAF
- Supports MPEG 4/H.263
Meanwhile, the Toshiba TS32 mobile phone is a GSM mobile phone which is making it’s debut in Hong Kong. The TS32 features:
- Candybar design
- Comes in three colors – Lunar Graphite, Desert Gold and Midnight Purple
- Measures 47 x 113 x 10.3mm
- Weighs 79 grams
- 900/ 1800/ 1900 for GSM
- 150 hours standby time
- 150 minute talk time
- 1.93″176×220, 260K color TFT
- 1.3 megapixel digital camera with digital zoom
- 5.5 MB of memory
- microSD support
- Bluetooth 1.2 support
- MIDI, MP3, AAC/AAC+, FM radio
- MPEG 4 / H.263
