[...] Sure you can purchase a winter jacket or a backpack to control the iPod.. but what about a bikini wear for women with the same functionality? Well folks - a Korean company has apparently gone ahead and developed just such a product - bikini wear with integrated iPod controls. It’s unclear if they’re using ElekTex technology but… who really cares? Look at the bikinis! [...]

[...] Remember a company called Eleksen? They’re the makers of the ElekTex smart fabric technology which we took a look at last year when we reviewed several Kenpo jackets that utilizes the technology. Eleksen is back in the news again - this time with a new electronics module called the FM Radio. Yeah I know - somewhat lame name but hey - it accurately describes what it does. It’s indeed a standalone FM radio unit which can be fully controlled by the new Eleksen fabric sensor which utilizes their Common Interface Technology. With an Eleksen sensor embedded in a piece of clothing, you can have garment or accessories integrate a full FM radio solution. This seems like the next logical step for Eleksen - especially when you consider they’ve already solved the fabric integration efforts with the Apple iPod. Integrating with an FM radio module is the next logical step. Think of the implications. If you have a jacket with the ElekTex sensor connected to an FM Radio module, you’ll be able to listen to FM Radio simply by connecting headphones to your jacket. Add an FM transmitter to your iPod and you’ll be able to tune in wirelessly to your iPod now. Very cool stuff. [...]

[...] I suppose it’s only fitting that we’re reviewing a winter jacket given that well… winter just started a few days ago. However, who would have thought we’d be looking at a winter jacket designed to work with the Apple iPod? OK.. maybe you knew that already since we mentioned in the title header that this would be a Kenpo jacket. A few weeks back, we took a look at the Kenpo Bonded Fleece jacket and yes we loved it! Today we’re upping the ante by taking a look at the Kenpo 3 in 1 Systems Jacket. [...]

[...] This is by far the coolest and cleanest integration between electronics and functional fashion. Made by Kenpo, it’s a gortex and fleece winter jacket with iPOD controls built in to the fabric that control the music player that is safely stowed in the interior. They specifically designed the jacket to keep the iPOD dry and well protected. Besides the whole Tron-like aspect of having the controls embedded on your left arm sleeve, this is actually a really cool jacket for the music loving-thrill seeking enthusiast. Still not convinced? Take a look at Krunker for the real indepth and thorough review. [...]
