Casio has introduced a new GPS watch in Japan designed specifically for runners called the GPR-100-1JR. With this watch, runners can guage where they are, how fast they are going, and how far they have gone thus far. The GPR-100 is also currently the smallest GPS enabled watch available according to the Watch Report. The watch measures 63.1 mm x 49.5 mm x 17.1 mm.

Features of the Casio GPR-100 include:

  • Automatic time zone adjustment based on information from the GPS signal
  • Record up to 100 points of interest within the watch to help you figure out where you are
  • Automatic elctro-luminescent backlight. Simply lift up your wrist and tilt it towards your face to automatically light up the LCD
  • Water resistant to 5ATM, 5 meters or approximately 165 feet
  • Stop watch with 1/100 th second resolution
  • Record data on up to 50 workouts
  • Pace verification
  • Countdown timer
  • Rechargeable battery. 2 hour battery life in normal mode and 4.3 hour battery life in low power mode. 3 hour charge time
  • Alarm

The watch is listed at 54,000 yen which is about $467 US dollars.
