Blue Dragon launches in Japan and Taiwan
Aww I’m a bit jealous.. Microsoft launched the new Xbox 360 game, Blue Dragon, in both Japan and Taiwan yesterday for a retail price of NT$1390 (or roughly $43 dollars here in the US). Microsoft is hoping that sales of Blue Dragon will spur the sales of the Xbox 360 in Asia – especially in Japan where the Sony PlayStation rules the roost. The early results look promising for Microsoft thus far as sales of Xbox 360′s increased by 20 percent sequentially.
Blue Dragon is developed by Mistwalker which is based in Japan and was founded by Hironobu Sakaguchi – the famed creator of Final Fantasy. The game was developed under the direction of Hironobu Sakaguchi and had help from famed cartoonist Akira Toriyama.
1up.com has some pictures of lines forming for the game on the night before the launch in Japan. Nice.
No word on when this game is coming to the US though.
