We here at Krunker would like to offer our condolences to the entire Kim family for the loss of James Kim. His body was found earlier today about a half mile from the Rogue River in southwestern Oregon. His wife and two daughters were found alive a few days earlier after the entire family went missing after undertaking a thanksgiving road trip to the Pacific Northwest from San Francisco.
On JamesandKati.com website, a statement was released to the media. It reads as follows:
“The friends and community of the Kim family are deeply saddened by the news received today about James Kim. We want to send out our utmost thanks to the Search and Rescue teams who risked their lives in the efforts to bring James back to us, they are true heroes to risk their own lives for a stranger. As friends we know that we did everything we could to help in the search for the Kim family, which is our only comfort now. We thank the Oregon authorities, the media, and everyone who sent us their thoughts and prayers for their support through this very difficult time. Please continue to keep Kati, Penelope, Sabine and the rest of their family in your thoughts.”
The personal friends of The Kim family are starting to accept donations. You can find out how you can donate by going to their website – www.jamesandkati.com.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Kim family and friends. James was a senior editor at CNET.com and was working on a new book about the Microsoft Zune. He is survived by his wife Kati, and his two daughters, Penelope, and Sabine.
We’ll miss you James.
