Quiet the Xbox 360 the ExtremeTech Way
Yes you love that Xbox 360 console of yours but you can’t stand the noise that emanates from the box. What do you do then? Well you could try out the tricks that the folks at ExtremeTech tried out in their efforts to quiet the Xbox 360.
Their online article is pretty darn comprehensive – they’ll guide you on how to open up your Xbox 360 case, and then they’ll show you a few methods to bring down the noise coming from the system.
How does it all fare at the end? ExtremeTech manages to lower the noise from the console by approximately 4-5 dB. Not too bad actually. Although it’s not quite half as loud, the noise reduction is fairly apparent on normal operations. Check out the article here.
