PC Magazine has posted a review of the ASUS S6F ultraportable notebook here on their website. The ASUS S6F packs a lot of features in a small form factor. Inside, you’ll find:
- Intel Core Duo LV2300 processor running at 1.5GHz
- Microsoft Windows XP Pro
- Intel 945 GM Express Chipset
- 1 GB of DDR2 533 RAM
- 11.1 inch WXGA ColorShine TFT-LCD with ASUS Splendid Video Intelligent Technology
- Intel Integrated Graphics from the 945 GM chipset
- 100GB 4200 RPM HDD
- Super Slim 4x Super Multi DVD-RW Dual Layer Drive
- Built in media card reader
- Intel HD Audio Chip (Azalia)
- 10/100/1000 Base T network support
- 802.11 a/b/g support
- Bluetooth 2.0 support
Despite having all of these features, the ASUS S6F only weighs 3.4 lbs and measures 0.88-1.45″. You can see additional specs on the notebook here on ASUS’ website.

The ASUS S6F has the distinction of being one of the few ultraportables that has a built-in optical drive, yet still weighs less than 4 pounds.
