HP begins to offer HD DVD drives with PCs
DigiTimes is reporting that HP has begun offering HD DVD drives as an add-on option to it’s line of D4655y desktop PCs. The drives are supposedly being offered as a 99 dollar upgrade option to these PCs. HP is doing this to help promote the HD DVD standard.
I took a look at the HP shopping website and couldn’t find this particular line of PCs so there’s no way for me to verify this. I did see the HP Pavilion d4650y series which is offering an HD DVD drive as a $249.99 upgrade option.
