Here’s some interesting Nintendo Wii news for you to digest. Nintendo has announced that it will ship almost 400,000 Nintendo Wii’s for its Japan launch on December 2nd – four times as many units as Sony’s launch of the PS3 in Japan. In addition, Nintendo plans to ship 1.5 million Nintendo DS units to Japan for December – doubling the inventory availability to meet year end shopping season demand.
No word on how many Nintendo Wii’s will be available here in the US for now.

The Nintendo Wii is a fun, engaging, wildly innovative game console that’s dramatically different from the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3, and way more affordable, too.
