I know I often give the Sony PlayStation 3 a hard time here at Krunker – and in many ways its unfair of me to do so. Honestly – my biggest beef with the PS3 is the pricing. If they could just deliver a product that was reasonably priced for the masses. When your gaming console costs as much as a low end laptop these days- you know something’s a bit out of whack. Now yes – the product gives a lot .. but at least build something that maybe doesn’t require Blu-ray.. but then again – we all know why Sony is pushing Blu-ray. They have a stake in that format succeeding of course.
Anyhow, plenty of previews have been coming out for the PS3 – including this one from PC Magazine and you know what? The PS3 is looking pretty darn good. You know the games will be good and you know the device itself will work just fine. If Sony could somehow lower the price and make the PlayStation 3 more available, then I’d be happier.
Here’s the verdict from PC Magazine – and note – this is just a preview (and they haven’t had a chance to test the Blu-ray movie capabilities as of yet).
So far, it looks great. We can’t wait to test the shipping version.
