If you’re in the market for a new car, you might be interested in Consumer Reports latest annual new car reliability survey. Most of the results aren’t surprising if you ask me – Japanese cars still rule the roost.. although there are more American made cars climbing up the reliability ladder. Here’s the breakdown for most reliable and least reliable as listed at CNN.com:
Small Car:
- Most reliable – Honda Fit
- Lease reliable – Chevrolet Cobalt
Family Car:
- Most reliable – Honda Accord Hybrid
- Least reliable – Volkswagon Passat (4 cyl)
Upscale/Large:
- Most reliable – Lexus ES350
- Least reliable – Jaguar X-type
Luxury Car:
- Most reliable – 2006 Lexus LS
- Least reliable – Cadilac STS (V8)
Sport/Sporty:
- Most reliable – Lexus SC
- Least reliable – Pontiac Solstice
Wagon/Minivan:
- Most reliable – Pontiac Vine
- Least reliable – Scion xB
Small SUV:
- Most reliable – Toyota FJ Cruiser
- Least reliable – Kia Sportage
Midsized SUV:
- Most reliable – Toyota Highlander Hybrid
- Least reliable – Mercedez Benz M Class
Large SUVs:
