OCModShop has posted a review of the SilverStone LC16M Case and poses the question – is this the ultimate HTPC case? Before answering that question, let me give you the specs on the LC16M.
- Aluminum front panel, 0.8mm SECC body
- Black or Silver color
- Fits standard ATX or Micro ATX motherboards
- VFD, IR, remoe control, iMON media center software
- 1 – 5.25″ external drive bay and 1 – 3.5 inch external drive bay
- 6 – 3.5″ internal drive bays (that’s a lot for an HTPC case!)
- 2 x 92 mm or 80 mm fan slots
- 2 x 80 mm exhaust fan, 2050 rpm, 21 dBA in the rear
- 1 x 80 mm front fan slot
- 26 in 1 card reader

Yes. This is NOT a small case by any means. So what’s the verdict from the folks at the OCModShop you might ask?
Silverstone’s LC16M case achieves what most enthusiasts have been looking for: a home theater PC that operates like an appliance.
