PC Magazine posts their hands on with the Zune
Woo hoo – PC Magazine has posted their preview of the upcoming Zune music player here on their website. If you believe what the preview says, then the future is bright for the Zune. As PC Magazine describes it, the Zune is “a shot across iPod’s bow”. I definitely think it’s a shot.. but it’s a small shot to Apple and a much much larger shot to folks like Creative, iRiver, and Samsung. Here are the comments from the review broken down for ya.
Here’s their “Bottom Line”:
This is the most promising iPod competitor we’ve ever seen from Microsoft and could be a digital music player that gives the whole industry a run for its money.
Here are the “Pros”
Great design. Easy-to use. Wireless capabilities work. Integration with software appears smooth.
and finally, here are the “Cons”
Small hard drive. Non-replaceable battery. No PlaysForSure support.
