Sony is releasing two new business oriented projectors which utilize a new LCD panel design called BrightEra. BrightEra produces a higher aperture ratio which results in brighter images than previous HTPS LCD based systems.

The new models are the VPL-FE40 and VPL-FX40 which feature the new BrightEra technology. These projectors both feature a brightness of 4000 lumens. The VPL-FE40 has a SVGA+ resolution of 1400 x 1050 while the VPL-FX40 has a native XGA resolution of 1024 x 768

If you need more than a standard lens, Sony is also offering the VPL-FE40L and VPL-FX40L. Both projectors support HDMI, component, and composite, S-Video, and Computer signal inputs. Each also comes with five BNC connectors.
