Ah the rumors are circulating yet again. First we had the false rumor that a 100 GB hard drive was coming to the Xbox 360 console – that was quickly squashed within a day or so. Now we have a new rumor based off a recent Microsoft event that perhaps a larger hard drive is indeed in the future of the Xbox 360. The proof this time? A screenshot of the Xbox 360 dashboard showing a drive with 70GB of free space (so one would assume this hard drive is roughly 80 GB large with the OS and other files taking the remainder 10 GB or so).

I would not be surprised if Microsoft decides to release a new upgraded hard drive for the 360. We all know the 360 will need it – especially in light of the recent downloadable movies and television shows announcement. The only thing I wonder is – would there be an easy way to get my content from my 20GB HDD to a newer drive if that day arrived?
