It looks like the Advanced Technetix Visual Remote for iPod is now available on order over at PC Connectionn. Thanks to Adam for noticing and commenting this on our original post.

For those of you unfamiliar with the Visual Remote, it’s a new remote control for the Apple iPod with a built in heads up display. The screen is a fully backlit LCD screen and allows for full menu functionality and control supposedly.

We also know the price now – it’s going for $39.95 which is fairly inexpensive given the specs on it so we’ll see how this device actually performs. Again - no batteries are needed – the power is drawn from the iPod. It’s designed to be easy to use – simple enough for one hand operations. Best of all – it’s meant for those who don’t want to bring their iPod out of their bags or jackets.
