Here’s an interesting news note that I found via Digitimes.com. Apparently the Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) is reporting that Wal-Mart has lowered prices for Panasonic 42 inch Plasma Display Panel TV’s by nearly 30 percent - from $1794 to $1294. This would put Panasonic panels in line with second tier vendors that have slashing prices to increase sales. Of course, now that I’ve reported this, I can’t find any mention of a 42 inch PDP panel from Panasonic at Wal-Mart.com.. maybe you’ll find these panels in the stores?
