LaptopMag has posted a review of the Ultrasone iCans headphones here on their website. You remember Ultrasone don’t ya? These are the same guys who claimed to have the “World’s Best headphones” at a mere cost of $1499. Unfortunately this review from LaptopMag isn’t about those phones but rather about the iCans fones.
The Ultrasone iCans are foldable, semi-open, supra aural headphones designed for mobile devices such as the Apple iPod, and MP3 players. Features of the Ultrasone iCans include:
- S-Logic Natural Surround Sound
- Ultra Low Emission Technology
- MU Metal bufferboard, reduced field emissions in accordance with the ULE standard
- Dynamic principle
- Frequency range 20 - 20,000 Hz
- Impedance 35 Ohm
- Sound pressure level 101 dB
- Drive 30 mm Mylar
- Weighs 82 grams
Here’s the verdict:
They won’t block out loud external noise, but for budget audiophiles, the iCans are a prime accessory.
