Samsung IP-830W Pocket PC Phone Review
SlashPhone.com has posted a review of the Samsung IP-830W International Smart Device for the Sprint PCS service here on their website. This is a Windows Mobile based smartphone that’s also a world phone. Yep.. when you’re here in the US, Canada, or in Mexico, the IP-830W uses the CDMA/EV-DO network. When you’re elsewhere around the world, the phone will either use CDMA or GSM networks and also use GPRS data networks. Specs include:

- Measures 2.29″ x 4.53″ x 0.96″ and weighs 6.4 oz
- Runs Windows Mobile 5.0 OS
- Phone is Modem capable

- Supports Sprint Mobile Broadband
- QWERTY keyboard
- Speakerphone
- SDIO expansion slot
- Intel PXA272 520MHz processor
- Bluetooth support

Here’s their verdict on the phone:
One thing is very obvious about the IP-830w: this phone is not for the “young and hip” market, it’s a serious phone intended for business. Neither is it the perfect phone, but its performance was overall pretty good.
