I purchased the Westinghouse LCM-22w2 monitor 10 months ago for $315 from an Ebay reseller who purchased this monitor at Best Buy 4 days before I bought it. It came factory sealed. (Best Buy was sold out when I drove 2 hours to get one.) It has gone out after 10 months of use and Westinghouse will not honor the warranty nor give me any help with figuring out what is wrong with it to service it. I now have a 22-inch paper weight that was extremely costly considering it only lasted 10 months. I will never buy another Westinghouse product as long as I live.

Yeah I had a feeling people were doing that. I headed over to Circuit City after my trip to Best Buy on Friday morning and some kid was trying to peddle me his ticket to purchase a computer system there. I laughed and said no thanks but I wonder how much he was trying to get for it.

I bought one friday too. Last night I started seeing a dotted horizontal line on the upper middle of the screen.
my screen was set at peak resolution. I lowered the resolution still I see the dotted line. thinking of calling their tech support soon.

Snagged one of these on eBay for $320. Looks like many people who picked them up at best buy are turning them around for a 50% profit.

Dave – that’s hilarious!

*sigh* I’m still looking for a solid inexpensive widescreen LCD monitor that can accept component inputs for testing purposes. I guess I’ll keep shopping around.

Any of you guys want to submit a review of the product here? How does it perform?

Ha! Got mine at BB for $200 also … Saturday night. They were sold out by 5:15 am to folks who were waiting in line since Wednesday. As an employee, these “doorbusters” were off-limits to us (and I was working from 3am Friday thru to 10pm anyway) … but some fool returned two of them Saturday afternoon because they “wouldn’t power on”. Being the guy who ships them out for service, it struck me as odd the power cables were never unpacked (just the VGA’s). My buddy and me each took one. Goes great right in the middle of my two 19″ers (5×4 aspect) for the “video surround” effect.

Aw man – I got to BestBuy a tad too late to get the monitor. I was about to get the 19 inch Westinghouse when I saw a bunch of 22 inchers being carried around. One guy had something like 5 of them with him but I couldn’t find anymore after that. *sigh* (and I just got a second Xbox 360 too so that would have been nice to have)
