PC Magazine has posted up their review of the new Slingbox Proo unit here on their website. The Slingbox Pro is the Sling Media’s flagship Slingbox unit (one of three new Slingbox’s that were introduced last month) - capable of handling up to four A/V sources including 1 HD video source and three standard definition video sources.
Not familiar with the Slingbox? It’s simply a device that you connect to your home theater system which allows you to view your content anywhere you go with an Internet connected computer or compatible mobile phone. From the computer, you can watch and control your home TV, DVR, basic cable, digital cable box or satellite receiver. And because you’re controlling it from a computer, you can be anywhere around the world with an Internet connection.
Here’s the verdict on the Slingbox Pro from the folks at PC Magazine:
The place-shifting Slingbox Pro is a great way—especially for DVR users—to watch a virtual version of your home television on PCs or Windows Mobile devices.
