Hey guess what? The Xbox 360 is actually starting to sell well in Japan – at least the pre-order sales for a new hardware bundle. Go figure! Actually the real reason the console is selling well is due to a game coming out called Blue Dragon. Blue Dragon comes from the Final Fantasy creator – Hironobu Sakaguchi – and his new game studio.

Pre-orders featuring an Xbox 360 core system, a copy of Blue Dragon are selling quite well for 29,800 yen or $250 dollars. There will also be a limited edition bundle featuring the above components as well as an original table calendar, a special Blue Dragon faceplate illustrated by Akira Toriyama, and a set of five miniature figurines from the game itself. Oh yes – the limited edition will also sell for the same price as the regular hardware bundle. Wow.

Microsoft is planning to produce 100,000 bundles with 10 percent of them considered limited editions. Pre-orders for the limited edition have apparently already sold out in many retail stores.
