PC Magazine has reviewed the new Verizon Wireless G’zOne Type-V mobile phone here on their website. The G’zOne is one tough cookie of a cell phone. It’s certified to MIL-Standard 810F standards for water, dust, and shock resistance. Features of the phone include:

  • Speakerphone
  • 2 megapixel digital camera with flash
  • TTY compatible
  • Talk time of 203 minutes
  • Standby time of 170 hours
  • Measures 4.1 x 2.0 x 1.1 inches and weighs 5.3 oz
  • 2.2 inch 320 x 240, 262k color display
  • 1.3 inch 100 x 100 monochrome external display

Unfortunately the G’zOne does not have Bluetooth built into the phone. PHOOEY. Here’s the verdict from PC Magazine (and man.. they took the phone underwater too!)

Been holding your breath for a phone you can take underwater? The G’zOne is the toughest phone Verizon offers, and the first that you can dunk without fear.

So if you’re near the beach or the water often, consider getting this phone!
