LaptopMag has posted a review of the Toshiba Satellite R25-S3503 convertible notebook here on their website. Forget what convertible notebooks are? They’re a cross between a regular notebook and a tablet PC. You get the best of both worlds in a single form factor. In the mood to use a tablet? Just flip the display around and your notebook becomes a tablet. Sick of writing? Flip the display back around and your device becomes a normal laptop. Simple enough right? Unfortunately the Tablet PC concept never really took off – but that’s never stopped Toshiba from making new systems though. Anyhow, here’s the specs to the notebook:

  • Intel Core Duo T2050 1.6GHz processor
  • Microsoft Windows XP Table Edition 2005
  • 1 GB of RAM expandable to 4GB
  • 100GB 5400 RPM HDD
  • 2x DVD+/-RW DL drive
  • 14.1 inch widescreen 1440 x 900 display
  • Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950
  • 802.11 a/b/g
  • Weight of 5.9 lbs
  • Measures 13.7 x 10.2 x 1.5 inches

Here’s the verdict from LaptopMag:

If you’re looking for a quality big-screen Tablet at a decent price, the Toshiba Satellite R25-S3503 is worth a look—as long as you don’t mind keeping that charger handy.
