Windows Mobile Device Center is finally available for Vista
If you installed Vista RC1 when it first came out expecting support for your Windows Mobile based PDA or Smartphone, you probably got a rude awakening. Although Windows Mobile Device Center was available under Vista, the appropriate support for syncing data with Windows Mobile devices were not in place as of yet. You could copy files to your device but forget about contacts or calendar information between Outlook and your PDA.
There was a hack available however that allowed Vista users to get the Vista update but if you didn’t know about the registry hack, then you were out of the loop.
The wait is finally over apparently. Microsoft has released Beta 3 of their Windows Mobile Device Center for both the x86 and x64 platforms. You can find the links here:
