After been presented with 2 options the Upgrade and Custom Advance. I click on custom advance. I am NOT presented with an overview of your hard drives and partitions. The screen reads Where do you want to install Windows? There are no drives listed in the menu box. The bottom reads Refresh, Load Driver, Drive Options Advanced, and No drives were found. Click Load Driver to provide a mass storage driver for installation. When I conduct this option of Load Driver a message box appears with the following statement: To install the device driver need to access your hard drive, insert the installation media containing the driver files, and click ok/ Note: The installation media can be a floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB Flash Drive.

Windows Media Center has a limitation on devices that have both the digital tuner and an analog tuner built in - which would be the case for the DVICO USB tuner of yours. Basically, MCE can only utilize the digital tuner portion - nothing else. In order for you to get analog, you'll need to install a separate analog tuner unfortunately. It's a dumb limitation of MCE if you ask me.

I've tried to install my dvico usb tuner, but the vista media center only sees the digital tuner-- I can't tune in any analog stations in mce. I can tune in to analog stations using the dvico app in normal vista but not media center.

Did you have this problem and did you find a solution?

Hmm that's certainly a strange error. I've tried two different systems with the RC1 install thus far. One system had Liteon DVD drives and the other system had a Toshiba DVD drive. Both installs went fine when it came to getting past the initial setup etc. I assume these are regular IDE connections right?

I've tried to install but have had no luck, I always get hung up directly after choosing install, it come to a screen that states that it needs a cd\dvd driver installed and won't get past this screen. I've tried this on 2 different machines all passing the compatibility testing. What dvd drive did you use when you install the operating system?

[...] For those of you interested in seeing lots of pretty snapshots of Windows Vista Release Candidate 2 (RC2), check out Paul Thurrott’s SuperSite for Windows website. He’s got about 15 images from the new build which we’ll take a look at shortly here at Krunker (I just need to plow through the remainder of my RC1 related articles). There’s actually a bunch of interesting articles on RC2 today but we’ll get to them in a bit. In the meantime, check out the pretty pictures here. [...]

[...] We’ll see if we can sneak our hands on RC2 in the meantime but don’t be surprised if you see further articles from us about RC1 in the meantime. In case you missed it, we published an installation article about Vista RC1 yesterday. I guess I better hurry up and finish the rest of the articles! [...]
