Antec Performance One P180B Case Review
ComputingOnDemand has published a review of the Antec Performance One P180B case (the B is the black colored version of the P180 in case you didn’t already figure that out). The P180 is unique in do it yourself PC case designs in that Antec developed two separate chambers to isolate the CPU from the power supply component. Five configurable fans then cool the entire system down but there’s little ambient noise due to the three layer sound deadening panels that Antec employs in the case. Other specs on the Performance One P180B include:
- 4 x 5.25 inch, 1 x 3.5″ external drives
- 6 x 3.5 inch drive bays
- Fits micro and standard ATX boards
- Measures 54 cm x 20.5 cm x 50.7 cm
So the case sounds pretty good on paper right? Let’s see what COD actually thought of the case:
Bottom line, would I buy one? Oh yeah…! The only thing holding this unit back from getting the C.O.D. seal of excellence is the lack of room in the bottom chamber for extended power supplies and the necessary removal of the pre-installed fan.
