Have a high resolution digital camera? Then you might want to check out the newly announced Pretec 16GB CompactFlash card (assuming your camera uses that media format of course). Now the funniest thing is - Pretec announced that they were the first to come out with a 16GB CF card.. and they were right. They were the first ones to come out with a 16GB card - by one day (more on that later on).

The new 16GB cards are made out of reliable SLC NAND flash memory and can operate across a wide variety of operating temperatures. You can expect different versions of the 16GB card for different applications. Pretec will begin sampling these cards next month with mass production due to begin during the fourth quarter.
