On top of the rugged design, the Switchback is designed for modular expansion. You can add functionality to the UMPC simply back attaching additional hardware, devices or connector interfaces to the back of the unit. Sure that might mean a bit more weight and heft to the device, but functionalities increase as a result.

With the Switchback, you’re not stuck with just Windows XP – you have the option of running XP, CE, Windows Mobile, or even Linux. The best part? You can run two OS’s at the same time on the same screen.
