Xbox Live Vision finally arrives
While the Xbox 360 has been out for nearly a year now, the promise of an external camera attachment has been left unfulfilled – until now. The Xbox Live Vision is now shipping and should be available at your favorite electronics store near you. With the Live Vision camera, you can now enjoy chat and picture messaging via the Xbox Live network (of course assuming you’re a Live Gold Member).
You can take still photos or video images with the Vision camera and then add special effects to the equation. The camera isn’t just relegated to chatting but you can use it as part of some of the newer game titles coming out like the World Series of Poker – Tournament of Champions. The Live Vision camera also supports “gesture gaming” which allows you to make movement commands based on gestures made to the camera. Pretty cool stuff.
