Ever since Shuttle decided to sell their own pre-built systems, they’ve been coming out with smaller and smaller form factors. Case in point – the new Shuttle XPC X100. This system is barely the size of a sheet of A4 paper yet features an Intel Core (take your pick on which one) processor inside as well as an ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 GPU. The full feature list includes:

  • Intel 945PM + ICH7M Chipset
  • SATA II 3GB/s storage
  • ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 support
  • DVD-RM CD-R/RW Combo drive – slim slot drive
  • 4 in 1 multi-format card reader
  • Intel Pro/Wireless LAN (optional)
  • DVI port
  • 10/100/1000 Ethernet support
  • 4 USB 2.0 ports in the back and 1 in the front
  • S-Video out
  • Line In/Out/Headphone
  • Microphone In
  • FireWire 400 port

About the only thing really missing is a TV tuner which would make this box ideal for a HTPC system. SilentPCReview posted up a review of this unit here on their website. Here’s their verdict:

While the X100 is certainly one of the best integrated PC we’ve seen, it’s still not quite as refined or as quiet as the iMac.
