All versions of Vista will be on one DVD
Microsoft has announced that they will be shipping all the various versions of Windows Vista on a single DVD. In the past, various versions of Windows was always shipped on separate disks. This didn’t matter as much when there was only Windows 95 and Windows NT.. but now that there’s a slew of different Windows versions, it’s becoming more expensive for Microsoft to ship different disks for different versions. Hence the decision from Microsoft to ship it all on a single DVD. The new program is called “Windows Anytime Upgrade” and this is how it works. A user will provide a product key during the Windows Vista installation which will decide which version of Vista gets installed onto the system. This also means that a user can later upgrade to a different version of Vista without needing a new DVD because all the systems were shipped on the same disk.
