The folks at ThinkSecret.com have posted up additional rumors about the supposed upcoming Apple phone. The phone is currently on track to be announced in January of 2007 during the Macworld Expo San Francisco despite other rumors that the phone would come out this year.
The ThinkSecret article explains that Apple has had to face “significant technological hurdles” in attempts to re-invent the mobile phone. Thus, Apple has supposedly scaled down some of its ambitions and will release a phone that contains off the shelf components. Apple is rumored to be planning on releasing two to three different phones during 2007.
Here are the current rumored (using that word a lot huh?) specs:
- 3 megapixel digital camera
- 2.2 inch color display
- Complete iTunes/iPod features and integration
Don’t worry about the 100 song limitation found on the Motorola phones. You’ll only be limited by how much you can actually store on the phone. Finally, it looks like the ThinkSecret sources are confident about a January announcement but when will the product actually come out is anyone guess.
