Denon has announced two new DVD players which feature HQV video processing technology. The first player is the DVD-3930CI and features Realta HQV processing while the second player is the DVD-2930CI and features Reon-VX HQV processing. So what is HQV video processing? Well HQV stands for Hollywood Quality Video and HQV video processing is a way to convert standard definition video into high definition video using a scaler that implements 1024 taps.

The Denon DVD-3930CI will retail for $1499 and will feature:

  • Many of the same features as the Denon flagship DVD player – the DVD-r910CI
  • Uses Silicon Optix’s Realta HQV video processor
  • No-compromise deinterlacing
  • Advanced AL24 processing
  • Backlit remote

  • AL24 processing plus

NEW DENON DVD PLAYERS TO FEATURE HQV VIDEO PROCESSING ENGINE

San Jose, CA—(Sept. 13, 2006)—Denon has announced the introduction of two new DVD players that will feature HQV processing. The Denon DVD-3930CI (MSRP $1499) features Realta HQV® processing, and the DVD-2930CI (MSRP $849) features Reon-VX HQV processing.
