Cingular 3125 Star Trek phone review
If a phone is code-named Star Trek, then it just has to be good right? Well I would think so since I’m a huge Trekker (or Trekkie depending on your affiliation). In any case, the Cingular 3125 is that phone which was code named after that infamous Sci-Fi show. It’s a Windows Mobile 5.0 based smartphone that looks like a lot like a Star Trek TOS Communicator. Spec wise, the Cingular 3125 comes with:
- Windows Mobile 5.0 OS
- 1.3 megapixel digital camera and video recorder
- Slim size flip phone
- Bluetooth support
- Direct Push Email support
- Calendar, Contacts and Tasks
- Windows Media Player 10 and MP3 capable
- Stereo audio jack
- Pocket MSN support
- Supports Cingular music, MEdia Net and Cingular Mail
- Supports Multimedia messaging, sending photos, text and sound
- PIM synchronization via ActiveSync
The phone is available for $149.99 after a 2 year new service agreement.
Here’s the verdict from a review at LaptopMag:
Best for casual e-mail users, the 3125 is a sleek phone for work or play that’s just smart enough.
