PC Magazine has posted up their review of the new Apple Mac Pro desktop system here on their website. I’ve been waiting for PC Magazine’s look into the system since well.. I love PC Mag. :) For you Apple fans out there, you’ll be happy to hear that PC Mag gave the system their “Editor’s Choice” award. Yup.. how can you possibly go wrong with a system that comes with dual XEON Woodcrest processors each with dual cores? On top of that – just look at the price folks. For $2499 you get a dual, dual core XEON processors. Now that’s awesome. Of course prices start edging upwards quite a bit if you add in more features. How much more?Well for the PC Magazine review, they got a system which was priced in at $7578. Yup.. that’s quite a bit. I’d stick with the default $2499 system. So here’s the verdict from PC Magazine:

Mac-using professionals who’ve been holding their breath for 9 months can finally exhale. The new Intel Xeon-powered Apple Mac Pro is a worthy successor to the Power Mac G5 and its variants.
