Windows Vista pricing confirmed
Microsoft officially announced Windows Vista pricing last Tuesday (Yes I’m a bit late on this one). The new OS’s retail price will range from $199 to $399 depending on the version you want. The basic version will go for $199 while the top of the line “Ultimate Edition” will cost you $399. Upgrade costs for owners of Windows XP will run you between $100 to $259.
In the meantime, RC1 of Windows Vista is out and I’m currently trying it out on my main system. Stay tuned for a look into Windows Vista RC1.

- Windows Vista Home Basic – $199
- Windows Vista Home Basic Upgrade – $99.95
- Windows Vista Home Premium – $239
- Windows Vista Home Premium upgrade – $159
- Windows Vista Business – $299
- Windows Vista Business Upgrade – $199
- Windows Vista Ultimate – $399
- Windows Vista Ultimate Upgrade – $259
