ExtremeTech has posted up a review of the beta version of Google Writely here on their website. Google Writely is an AJAX based online word processor which you can find here:
Writely is free – all you need to do is sign up on the website. With Writely, you can share and collaborate on documents in real time. You can basically edit the documents from anywhere where there’s an Internet connection. Documents are stored online for easy access. Here’s the verdict from ExtremeTech:
Writely’s collaboration, versioning, and tagging are its strong points, but we prefer other online office tools like Zoho and Thinkfree, which offer more editing power and customizability. We’ll keep an eye on Writely, however: With the big Google bucks behind it, it’s bound to improve.
