This 4.1 lb mobile notebook from Toshiba isn’t quite as sleek as their Protege lineup but it offers a good balance in system performance, portability, and price. For around $1350, you get yourself a lightweight system that comes bundled with an Intel Core Duo processor (not the Core 2 Duo type unfortunately) running at 1.83GHz, 1GB of RAM, a 12.1 inch widescreen display, 120GB of HDD space, and wireless connectivity. The Toshiba Satellite U205-S5022 is for practical consumers who aren’t big on style but appreciate the finer things in an ultraportable, such as an integrated optical drive, dual-core components, and a good bargain.
