Just when things were looking up for the PS3 comes the news yesterday that Sony would delay the PS3 launch in Europe until March of next year. The delay of the European launch from November of this year to March of next year is due to an inadequate supply of a key component used within the game console. The component is a blue laser used in the PS3’s Blu-ray optical disc drive which has now fallen behind schedule. Again – do we really need a Blu-ray drive? How about selling a PS3 without the Blu-ray drive folks?
