Apple releases updated iMacs with Core 2 Duo’s
Apple introduced new upgrades to their iMac line today – most notably the addition of a 24 inch iMac model and the usage of the new Intel Core 2 Duo processor inside all the models. The low end 17 inch iMac now costs $999 and comes with a 1.83GHz Core 2 Duo processor. If you want a 2GHz Core 2 Duo, then be prepared to put down $1199 while the 2.16GHz processor will run you $1299.
The 20 inch iMac will cost you $1499 with a 2.16GHz processor and $1749 for a 2.33 GHz processor. Finally, the new 24 inch model will run you $1999 for a 2.16GHz processor and $2249 for a 2.33GHz processor. Other features on the iMac include a built in iSight camera and a remote for Front Row.
