Saitek Eclipse II Illuminated Keyboard Review
Illuminated keyboards first hit the scene a few years back really as more of a novelty item than anything else. Sure you could see your keyboard (sorta) in the dark but otherwise, it was just a cool thing to have on your desktop. Well Saitek has continued to refine the concept with the latest Saitek Eclipse II Illuminated keyboard as reviewed by the folks at Virtual Hideout. Here are some of the specs of the keyboard:
- Illuminated back lit keys in red blue and purple
- Dimmer for complete lighting control
- Zero slope comfort design with three slope angles
- Media keys
- Measures 19.5 x 9.0 x 1.1 inches and weighs 2.6 lbs
Here’s the verdict:
The Saitek Eclipse II was one of the best keyboards I’ve used in a while. The combination of a traditional layout, quality construction, and a comfortable typing experience made it a good keyboard by any standard. The addition of a dimmer switch to control lighting, and three different lighting colors (blue, red and purple), make the Eclipse II even better, and one for any gamer or enthusiast to seriously consider.
